Start the round, study the target, then click where its centre used to be.

Round 1 is ready.

Location without landmarks

How stable is your mental map?

The target becomes smaller and the blank pause becomes longer across eight rounds. Accuracy is based on its distance from your placement and is normalised for every screen size.

About the game

Test your spatial memory across eight rounds

Memorise a target, wait for it to disappear, then place its exact centre without visible landmarks.

Format: Eight daily spatial rounds
Typical round: About 3–5 minutes
Cost: Free, with no download required

The rules

Study the target while the canvas is passive. When it disappears and the guessing phase begins, place one marker where you remember its centre and receive a distance score.

What makes it different

Changing target sizes and positions make each round a clean test of spatial memory rather than cursor tracking.

What does this spatial memory test measure?

Dead Centre measures how accurately you retain a location after the visual target has vanished. The score uses the distance between your placement and the target’s true centre.

Does screen size affect the result?

The distance is normalised for the active game area, allowing the accuracy score to remain meaningful across mobile and desktop screens.
