Who is responsible

Information handled by the site

• Contact information: the name, email address and message you choose to send through the contact form.
• Usage and device information: pages viewed, game interactions, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser and device information, referral source and similar diagnostic events collected by analytics providers.
• Advertising information: Google advertising services may use cookies or similar identifiers to select, deliver, limit and measure advertisements, subject to the choices available in your region.
• Local game information: scores, streaks, completed rounds and preferences may be stored in your browser’s local storage. This normally remains on your device unless a game clearly says otherwise.
• Hosting logs: the hosting provider may process IP addresses, request details and security logs to deliver and protect the site.

Bludle does not ask for sensitive personal information and does not sell personal information.

Why information is used

Information is used to run and secure the games, remember progress, reply to messages, understand which pages and features are useful, diagnose faults, measure referrals and support the site through advertising. Processing is based on consent where required for non-essential cookies and on legitimate interests in operating, improving and securing the service where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Services that may receive data

Bludle uses Netlify for hosting and form handling, Google Analytics for audience measurement, Google AdSense for advertising and Mixpanel for product analytics. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy notices. Links to Buy Me a Coffee, Facebook and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Some providers process information outside the UK. Where data-protection law requires it, providers are expected to use an approved transfer mechanism such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

Retention and security

Contact messages are retained only while reasonably needed to answer and manage the request. Analytics, advertising and hosting records follow the retention settings of the relevant provider. Browser game data remains until you clear site storage or the game removes it. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal information, object to processing, withdraw consent and receive a portable copy. You can also clear local game data and cookies through your browser. To make a request, contact the address above. UK users may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Browser “Do Not Track” signals do not yet have one consistently implemented industry standard. Use the privacy and cookie controls offered by your browser and the relevant advertising provider.

Children and changes

The games are intended for a general audience and Bludle does not knowingly ask children to submit personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted information can request its deletion. This policy may be updated when the site or its service providers change; the date at the top identifies the current version.
